  1. VAT split for VAT-registered clients, and overdrafts the right way round

    • New

Switch on 'This client is VAT registered' in the classifier and every line gets its VAT-exclusive amount and 15% VAT, set per category and adjustable per line. Your Excel file adds VAT Input, VAT Output and net VAT payable, and next month's statement for the same client opens with your VAT choices remembered.

    • Fixed

Statements for an account in overdraft put expenses under Money In and income under Money Out. Both tools now recognise an overdrawn balance even when the bank prints it without a minus sign or 'Dr', so every line lands in the right column.

    • Improved

Your converted or classified statement stays in your browser until you download it, even if you reload the page or your connection drops.

    • New

Each tool has a help card: tap a suggestion or a problem and it opens a WhatsApp chat with us, already written.

After a download you can rate the tool in one tap, so we know what to fix next.

    • Improved

The bank picker shows each bank in its own colours, so you can find yours at a glance.

    • Improved

The Books & Payroll page now lets you ask for early access to the beta.

  3. Free statement tools, and a classifier that learns

Two free tools for South African accountants, built around how our banks actually lay out their statements.

    • New

PDF to Excel: convert FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, Nedbank and Capitec Business statements into a clean spreadsheet, checked line by line against the running balance.

    • New

Classifier: sort every transaction into your chart of accounts with AI, with a confidence score on every line. Works from a PDF, Excel or CSV.

    • New

Change any category and sort by category or by statement order before you download.

    • New

Send a converted statement straight to the classifier without uploading it again.

    • Improved

Try both tools without an email address; we only ask for one when you download.

    • New

The classifier remembers your corrections and your own categories, and applies them the next time it sees the same transaction.

    • New

When enough accountants agree on how a transaction should be classified, everyone gets that answer, marked 'Common'.
