Good to know

Is it really free?

Yes. Up to 3 documents a day per accountant, resetting at midnight. Need more? Akountable Books has no limit.

Can I upload a scanned statement?

Not yet. Please download the digital PDF from your internet banking. Scans and photos aren't supported.

How accurate is the classifier?

Very good on common transactions, but it's AI, so it isn't perfect. Every line shows a confidence score, and uncertain rows are highlighted.

What happens to my statement?

It's processed in memory and discarded as soon as your file is ready. We only keep your email, device details and usage stats.

Which banks are supported?

FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, Nedbank and Capitec Business, from digital PDFs. Any bank's Excel or CSV works in the classifier.

Is it available outside South Africa?

Not right now. The free tools are for users in South Africa.
